WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO VOLUNTEER?
We encourage all ages to volunteer! Whether that is fostering or assisting in feeding colony cats, all ages are welcome.
Our biggest volunteer work we need right now is trapping assitance. This requires you to have your own vehicle and capability to set traps and commute to our main location where we hold feral cats for clinic.
CAN I ORGANIZE A FUNDRAISING EVENT?
We are always open to people fundraising to help Forgotten Felines of the Florida Keys! Businesses willing to host an event are encouraged to email us or reach out to us via phone. We have organized car washes, socials, black tie events, paint party's, food drives, etc!
DO YOU RESCUE ALL CATS?
Unfortunately, we are not a rescue. Our main goal is to TNVR and feed colony cats. In the event that we are trapping and come across a mom and kittens, we will trap both momma and kittens and then get the kittens adopted out once cleared and of age. The mother will most likely be returned to the same location that they were trapped.
We wish that we could take in all of the cats, but we just don't have the location or funding to care for cats that people can longer care for.
